Universal busbar connector for Al/Cu conductors

The OTL50-3 5-2 connector is a professional solution designed for electrical installations requiring a reliable connection between aluminum and copper conductors. Thanks to its innovative design, it allows for the direct connection of different types of conductors without the need for additional adapters or bimetallic ferrules.

Construction and materials

The connector body is made of high-quality polyamide PA66 with a UL94 V0 flammability rating, ensuring maximum operational safety even in harsh environmental conditions. The conductive parts are made of galvanized aluminum, and the contact surfaces are factory-supplied with contact paste - eliminating the need for additional preparation before assembly.

Six clamping positions arranged on a single level allow for the simultaneous connection of conductors with cross-sections from 1.5 to 50 mm². The screw mechanism with a size 5 hex screw ensures a secure and durable connection while maintaining controlled tightening torques: 1.5 Nm for 1.5-2.5 mm² conductors, 5 Nm for 4-10 mm² conductors, and 10 Nm for 16-50 mm² conductors.

Electrical parameters and safety

The connector is characterized by high electrical parameters - the rated voltage is 1000V AC / 1500V DC, and the rated current is 320A. The internal sections are factory-bridged, ensuring an even current distribution between all positions.

The IP20 protection rating protects against contact with live parts and the ingress of foreign objects larger than Ø12mm. The operating temperature range from -25°C to +80°C allows for use in both indoor and outdoor installations in temperate climates.

Installation and compatibility

The ClickSet™ mechanism enables rapid mounting on a standard TH35 mm DIN rail - just one click is enough for secure fastening. Alternatively, mounting via screws on a mounting plate or in modular switchgear is possible.

Versatility is also demonstrated in the supported conductor types: solid, stranded, and solid with ferrule ends with cross-sections from 1.5 to 35 mm². Thus, a single device handles a full spectrum of installation applications.

Normative compliance and certificates

The product meets the requirements of European standards EN 61238-1 (general requirements for busbars) and EN60947-7-1 (auxiliary components), confirming its high manufacturing quality and operational safety. Compliance with CE standards enables legal sale on the European market.
