Flexible Copper Busbar with UL 94 V-0 Insulation, Designed for Limited Spaces

The MOFLEX busbar is more than just a conductor – it is a solution that saves space in switchgear without compromising current-carrying capacity. Made from 99.90% pure electrolytic copper Cu-ETP, it has a cross-section of 43.2 mm² and can carry currents up to 302 A at voltages up to 1000 V AC / 1500 V DC. Its dimensions – 9x0.8x6 mm – enable installation in tight spaces where traditional busbars or cables would be too bulky.

The self-extinguishing PVC insulation (UL 94 V-0) not only protects against short circuits but also maintains stability even at temperatures up to 105°C. This is crucial for installations where temperatures rise due to load or proximity to other components. The insulation is black, facilitating identification and preventing errors during assembly.

The flexibility of the busbar is not a marketing gimmick. Thanks to its copper strip structure and special manufacturing technology, the busbar can elongate by up to 200% without risk of cracking or conductor damage. This means it can be bent around corners and adapted to irregular enclosure shapes – without the need for additional connectors or adapters.

Compared to standard flexible busbars, its cross-section is 25% smaller, and compared to ordinary copper cable – 60% smaller. This means: the same current capacity, but significantly reduced volume. In practice: more space for control cables, smaller switchgear, faster installation.

Additional galvanizing is not required – the copper is sufficiently corrosion-resistant for indoor conditions. Installation is simple: just press it onto the distribution busbar or terminal – no special tools or precise cutting needed.

Manufactured in Germany, it meets environmental and technical requirements for industrial and commercial installations. There are no restrictions on operation within the temperature range of -40°C to +105°C – making it suitable for both cold rooms and spaces with high thermal loads.
