Insulated flexible busbar MMC 32x1x3 96mm² 2m MOFLEX 82186001
Flexible Copper Busbar with UL 94 V-0 Insulation, Ready for Installation in Densely Packed Distribution Boards
The MOFLEX busbar is the ideal solution for installers who require a robust yet flexible busbar conductor—without the need for thick, rigid flat bars. Made from 99.90% pure electrolytic copper (Cu-ETP), it features a cross-sectional area of 96 mm² and consists of three laminations measuring 32x1 mm. This design delivers a current-carrying capacity of 606 A while occupying less space than traditional busbars—its cross-section is 25% smaller than standard solutions with comparable performance.
The self-extinguishing PVC insulation (UL 94 V-0) in black not only protects against short circuits and overvoltages but also resists mechanical damage during installation. Its dielectric strength exceeds 20 kV/mm, and its operating temperature range spans from -40°C to 105°C, making the busbar suitable even for extreme conditions such as photovoltaic installations or heat pump systems.
Flexibility is a key advantage: the busbar can elongate by up to 200% without risk of cracking or insulation damage. This enables easy adaptation to irregular distribution board geometries, reduces mechanical stress on connections, and eliminates the need for additional adaptation components. Compared to standard copper cables, the skin effect is reduced by 60%—resulting in improved current distribution and lower losses.
Installation is straightforward: the busbar is 2 meters long and ready for connection via standard terminals or distribution blocks. No special tools are required—simply cut to the desired length and secure the ends. Manufactured in Germany, ensuring both high material quality and precise workmanship.
Why It Works in Practice
- Smaller cross-section = higher mounting density – allows more modules to be accommodated within the same distribution board space.
- No need to disassemble the entire system when reconfiguring – flexibility enables repositioning of the busbar without dismantling.
- Non-flammable insulation – meets the highest safety requirements for DC circuits up to 1500 V.
- No tinning – pure copper ensures stable contact and minimizes corrosion.
- Suitable for both DC and AC applications – ideal for photovoltaic systems (1500 V DC) as well as industrial networks (1000 V AC).
This is not simply a "cable instead of a busbar"—it is a specially engineered current-carrying component offering high reliability and resistance to operational conditions. For the installer: it saves time and space. For the end user: it ensures stability and safety.
