Universal solution for demanding electrical installations

The OTL150 yellow-green connector is an electrotechnical component designed for applications in power engineering, industry, and photovoltaic installations. This universal terminal enables the connection of aluminum and copper conductors with cross-sections from 25 to 150 mm², eliminating the need for bimetallic adapters.

Galvanization technology and contact paste

At the heart of the OTL150 connector is galvanization technology, which guarantees a durable connection between conductors made of different materials. Factory-applied contact paste ensures the terminal is ready to use straight out of the package.

The screw electrical connection mechanism ensures stable contact even under current load conditions. The design allows for the simultaneous connection of two conductors on a single level.

Electrical parameters and housing material

The connector is characterized by the following electrical parameters: rated voltage up to 1000V AC and 1500V DC and a rated current of 320A for copper conductors (290A for aluminum). These values make it a solution for low-voltage and medium-voltage installations.

The housing, made of thermoplastic material with V0 flammability class (according to UL94), is self-extinguishing and does not spread flames. The operating temperature range from -25°C to +80°C ensures functionality in various environmental conditions.

Normative compliance and certification

The product meets the requirements of international standards EN 60947 and EN 61238, and also holds UL 1059 and SGS FI certificates. Each unit undergoes mechanical, load, and short-circuit tests, resulting in obtaining short-circuit class A.

This means it is approved for use as a power supply element in installations exposed to current overloads and short circuits.

Mounting construction

The ClickSet™ mounting mechanism allows for attachment to a TH-35 mm DIN rail or alternatively via screws through a Ø5,5 mm hole (6mm hex key). Compact dimensions (31×54×84 mm) allow for dense packing in distribution boards while maintaining functionality.

The yellow-green color identifies its purpose for protective conductors (PE) in accordance with IEC/EN installation standards.

The tightening torque is visible on the connector cover (14 Nm for cross-sections 25-50 mm², 30 Nm for cross-sections 70-150 mm²), which eliminates the risk of installation errors.

Professional applications

The versatility of Al/Cu technology makes the OTL150 useful for modernizing existing aluminum installations with new copper conductors—a typical problem when expanding power systems. It performs well as a grounding element in data centers, hospitals, airports, and other infrastructure-critical facilities.

In high-power photovoltaic farms and battery energy storage systems, it serves as a DC power distribution element at system voltages up to 1500V, where connection reliability is crucial for PV installation safety.
