Universal Al/Cu connection without compromise

The OTL16 connector is an advanced solution for installations requiring a reliable connection of aluminum and copper conductors in a single component. Thanks to special galvanizing technology, it enables the direct connection of both conductor types without the need for Cu/Al adapters or bimetallic ferrules.

A key feature is the factory-applied contact paste on the contact surfaces, which protects the electrical contact point from oxidation and galvanic corrosion. This makes the connector ready for use immediately after unpacking - the installer does not need to additionally prepare the contact surfaces.

The insulating housing is made of polyamide PA66 in flammability class V0 according to UL94, ensuring maximum operational safety even in difficult environmental conditions.

Industrial-grade operating parameters

The connector operates at a rated voltage of up to 1000V AC / 1500V DC, making it suitable for both low-voltage and medium-voltage installations. The rated current is 82A for Cu conductors and 75A for Al conductors, providing sufficient reserve for most distribution applications.

The operating temperature range from -25°C to +80°C guarantees stable operation in diverse environmental conditions - from cold storage to high-temperature industrial installations.

Safety and certification

The product has obtained short-circuit withstand capability class A, meaning it can be used as main power terminals in installations exposed to current overloads and short circuits. Each unit undergoes rigorous mechanical and load tests according to IEC/EN 60947 and IEC/EN 61238-1:2003 standards.

Certifications include EN 61238-1, EN 60947-7-1, and UL 1059 standards, confirming high manufacturing quality and compliance with international standards for industrial applications.

Mounting and compatibility

The mounting mechanism allows for rapid attachment to a TH-35 mm DIN rail - just one click for secure fastening. Alternatively, screw mounting on a flat surface is possible.

The connector supports a wide range of cross-sections: solid conductors from 1,5 to 16 mm², bare stranded conductors from 1,5 to 10 mm², and multi-core conductors from 1,5 to 16 mm². Two connection holes per level allow for power distribution or creating branches.

The tightening torque is 1,5 Nm for cross-sections 1,5-6 mm² and 7 Nm for cross-sections 10-16 mm² respectively, ensuring optimal pressure while maintaining conductor integrity.
