Universal Al/Cu connector for demanding installations

The OTL240-2 connector is a professional solution for connecting aluminum and copper conductors in installations with high electrical requirements. Thanks to its universal screw connection system and advanced design, the device eliminates the need for additional adapters or bimetallic terminals.

Construction and technical parameters

The thermoplastic housing ensures operational safety in harsh industrial conditions. The connector operates in a wide temperature range from -25°C to 80°C, making it resistant to extreme environmental conditions.

Key electrical parameters include a rated voltage of 1000V AC / 1500V DC and a rated current of 850A. The device supports conductors with cross-sections from 35mm² to 240mm², both single-core and multi-strand, which significantly expands the range of possible applications.

The compact design with dimensions of 60×65×106 mm fits into a standard distribution board enclosure, and the 60mm width allows for efficient use of mounting space on the TH-35 mm DIN rail.

Versatility of Al/Cu connections

Innovative hot-dip galvanizing technology enables the direct connection of aluminum and copper conductors without the risk of galvanic corrosion. The system supports various types of conductors: solid wires, stranded wires, and sector cables in both rigid and multi-strand configurations.

The cross-sections for connected stranded conductors range from 35...185mm² for both conductors with and without ferrule ends, providing flexibility in cable type selection. The internal tiers are factory-bridged, simplifying the installation process.

Each connector features factory-applied contact paste, eliminating the need for additional preparation of the contact surface before assembly.

Safety and standards

The connector has passed mechanical, load, and short-circuit tests, achieving short-circuit class A. This means it can be used as main power terminals in installations exposed to current overloads and short circuits.

The device complies with the requirements of EN 60947 and EN 61238 standards and holds UL 1059 and SGS FI certificates, confirming the highest international quality and safety standards.

The IP20 protection rating protects against accidental contact with live parts under standard installation conditions.

ClickSet™ mounting mechanism

The ClickSet™ system allows for quick mounting on a TH-35 mm DIN rail without the use of specialized tools. Alternatively, screw mounting is possible for applications requiring additional mechanical fastening.

The configuration includes one level with four terminals per level, ensuring optimal packing density while maintaining easy access to each connection. The tightening torque is visible on the connector cover, facilitating connection quality control during installation.

Available in colors: gray, blue, yellow-green, red, and black for easy identification of functions within the distribution board.
