Universal solution for Al/Cu installations

The OTL240 connector is a product designed for professionals working with electrical installations where a safe and reliable connection of aluminum and copper conductors is required. Thanks to special zinc-coated inserts technology, the product enables direct connection of different types of conductors without the need for additional Cu/Al adapters or special bimetallic terminals.

Construction and materials ensuring safety

The connector body is made of thermoplastic polyamide PA66, which is characterized by a V0 flammability rating according to the UL94 standard.

The housing, with dimensions of 37 × 65 × 106 mm, has been designed to optimize space utilization in electrical switchboards. The internal tiers are factory-bridged, which simplifies the installation process and minimizes the risk of assembly errors.

Electrical parameters and connection versatility

The product offers the following electrical parameters: rated voltage 1000V AC/1500V DC and rated current 425A for copper conductors and 380A for aluminum conductors. The range of connected conductor cross-sections is from 35 to 240 mm², covering both single-core and multi-core conductors.

A key distinguishing feature of the OTL240 connector is its ability to handle all types of aluminum and copper conductors in a single device.

The hexagonal No.8 type screw connection mechanism allows for secure fastening of conductors with different cross-sections while maintaining appropriate tightening torques: 26 Nm for the 35-120 mm² range and 46 Nm for the 150-240 mm² range.

Operating conditions and protection

The operating temperature range from -25°C to +80°C makes the product suitable for use in both cold storage and hot industrial environments. The IP20 protection rating protects against accidental contact with live parts.

International compliance and quality certificates

The connector meets the requirements of European standards EN 60947-7-1 and EN 61238-1:2003, confirming its suitability for professional power applications.

Particularly significant is the short-circuit class A obtained after passing mechanical and load-short-circuit tests.

Flexible mounting

The ClickSet™ mounting mechanism allows for quick fastening on a standard TH-35 mm DIN rail or alternatively using screws to a mounting plate.

Color versatility (available in: gray, blue, yellow-green, red, and black) facilitates the identification of individual circuit functions according to the standard color coding used in electrical installations.
