The OTL240 connector in yellow-green is a professional electrical installation component, specifically designed for the safe connection of aluminum and copper conductors with cross-sections from 35 to 240 mm².

Advanced Al/Cu connection technology

The main advantage of this connector is the ability to directly connect aluminum and copper conductors without the need for additional bimetallic adapters or special terminals. Thanks to special galvanizing technology and factory-applied contact paste, the connection maintains stable contact resistance throughout its entire service life. The contact paste eliminates the risk of oxidation at the contact point and galvanic corrosion between aluminum and copper.

The versatility covers all types of conductors: solid wires, multi-strand cables, and both rigid and flexible segmented conductors.

High electrical parameters and safety

The connector is characterized by impressive electrical parameters: the rated voltage is 1000V AC and 1500V DC, allowing its use in both low-voltage and medium-voltage installations. The rated current is 425A for copper conductors and 380A for aluminum conductors.

A key safety aspect is the Class A short-circuit rating (according to IEC/EN 61238-1:2003), which means the connector has been rigorously tested for resistance to extreme current overloads and high-intensity, long-duration short circuits. The housing is made of thermoplastic material with a V0 flammability rating according to UL94, ensuring maximum resistance to fire spread.

Construction and mounting dimensions

The compact design with dimensions of 37×65×106 mm (width×height×depth) allows for efficient use of space in switchboards and installation cabinets. The connector has one row with two connection points; the internal levels are factory-linked, ensuring even current distribution.

Mounting can be carried out on a standard TH-35 mm DIN rail or using M8 screws, providing flexibility in various types of installations. The tightening torque visible on the connector cover is respectively: for cross-sections 35-120 mm² - 26 Nm, for cross-sections 150-240 mm² - 40 Nm.

Operating conditions and environment

The device maintains full functionality across a wide temperature range from -25°C to +80°C, enabling its use in both heated and unheated rooms as well as in outdoor installations. The IP20 protection rating provides an effective barrier against contact with live parts and access by foreign objects larger than 12.5 mm.

The yellow-green color of the housing significantly improves installation clarity and facilitates identification during service work.
