The OTL35-2 connector is a professional solution for installations requiring a reliable connection of aluminum and copper conductors in a single terminal. Thanks to innovative zinc-coating technology and factory-applied conductive compound, the device eliminates the need for additional Cu/Al adapters or bimetallic ferrules.

Design and materials ensuring durability

The insulating housing made of PA66 polyamide features a UL94 V0 flammability rating, guaranteeing maximum operational safety even in difficult environmental conditions. The material is halogen-free, and the special aluminum zinc-coating technology ensures a durable connection between different metals without the risk of galvanic corrosion.

The connector accommodates conductors with cross-sections from 2,5 to 35 mm² in a two-wire configuration (2xAl/Cu), supporting both solid and stranded conductors. Four clamping positions allow for flexible installation configuration while maintaining compact dimensions: height 40 mm, width 27 mm, depth 46 mm.

Operating parameters and electrical safety

The device operates in a wide temperature range from -25°C to +80°C, maintaining full functionality in extreme environmental conditions. The rated voltage is 1000V AC and 1500V DC, making it suitable for both low-voltage and medium-voltage installations.

The rated current is adapted to the conductor type: for copper conductors it reaches 135A, while for aluminum it reaches 120A, maintaining short-circuit class A. The tightening torque visible on the connector cover is 3 Nm for cross-sections 2,5-16 mm² and 6 Nm for the 25-35 mm² range.

Compliance and international certificates

The connector meets the requirements of European standards EN 60947 and EN 61238, confirmed by UL 1059 and SGS FI certificates. The IP20 protection rating provides basic protection against contact with live parts and the entry of solid objects larger than 12mm.

The ClickSet™ mounting mechanism allows for rapid attachment to a TH-35 mm DIN rail or alternatively via screws to a mounting plate. The internal levels are factory-bridged, which simplifies the installation process and minimizes the risk of mounting errors.

Professional applications

OTL connectors are recommended for applications exposed to current overloads and short circuits due to rigorous load tests confirming short-circuit class A. Availability in yellow-green allows for easy identification as an electric shock protection component according to installation standards.
