Universal Solution for AL/CU Installations
The OTL50-2 busbar connector is a professional device designed for the safe and reliable connection of aluminum and copper conductors across a wide range of applications—from industrial and power installations to photovoltaic systems and residential distribution boards.
Construction and Materials
The connector housing is made of high-quality thermoplastic material with a flammability class V0 according to UL94 standards, ensuring self-extinguishing properties upon contact with flame. Conductive elements are manufactured from an aluminum alloy that provides optimal electrical conductivity while maintaining compatibility with various conductor materials.
The universal design supports solid conductors with a cross-section of 1.5-50 mm², stranded conductors 1.5-35 mm², and multi-strand conductors 1.5-50 mm². Thanks to a special galvanization technology, direct connection of aluminum and copper conductors is possible without the need for Cu/Al adapters or bimetallic terminals.
Operating Parameters and Safety
The device operates at a rated voltage of 1000V AC / 1500V DC and a current of 320A, making it suitable for both low-voltage and medium-voltage installations. The operating temperature range is -25°C to +80°C, ensuring stable performance under challenging environmental conditions.
The connector has a short-circuit rating class A, meaning it can be used as main power terminals in installations exposed to overloads and short circuits. The IP20 protection rating prevents accidental contact with live parts.
Installation and Operation
The ClickSet™ mechanism enables quick mounting on a DIN TH-35mm rail, significantly accelerating the installation process. Alternatively, screw mounting is also available for greater application flexibility.
Each connector is factory-equipped with contact paste, eliminating the need for additional preparation before installation and minimizing the risk of installation errors.
Compliance and Certifications
The product meets the requirements of European standards EN 60947 and EN 61238, confirming its high quality and operational safety. It holds international certifications UL 1059 and SGS FI, enabling legal sale in European markets requiring these standards.
A yellow-green version (PE color) is also available for easy identification of protective functions in electrical installations requiring clear marking of protective earth connections.
