Universal Al/Cu Busbar Connector - Reliability in Every Installation

The OTL95-2 connector is a professional solution designed for installers working with aluminum and copper conductors. Thanks to its universal clamping system, it enables safe connection of various conductor types without the need for additional adapters or special bimetallic terminals.

High-Quality Construction and Materials

The connector housing is made of thermoplastic material with a flammability class V0 according to UL94 standards, ensuring high operational safety in challenging environmental conditions. A special galvanization technology for conductive elements guarantees a durable connection between aluminum and copper, eliminating electrochemical corrosion issues typical of direct Al-Cu connections.

The ClickSet™ mounting mechanism allows for instant attachment to a TH-35 mm DIN rail, significantly accelerating the installation process. Alternatively, screw mounting is also possible, increasing application flexibility in various types of distribution boards.

Operating Parameters and Compatibility

The device supports solid conductors with cross-sections from 6 to 95 mm² and stranded conductors from 6 to 70 mm² (both with and without crimped ferrules). The rated voltage is 1000V AC and 1500V DC, making it suitable for both low-voltage and medium-voltage installations.

The rated current varies depending on the conductor material: approximately 245A for copper and approximately 220A for aluminum. The tightening torque is automatically adjusted to the conductor cross-section: for thinner conductors (6-25 mm²) it is 12 Nm, while for thicker ones (35-95 mm²) it increases to 22 Nm.

Safety and Certifications

The connector has undergone rigorous mechanical, load, and short-circuit tests, achieving short-circuit class A. This means it can be used as main power terminals in installations exposed to current overloads and short circuits. The product meets the requirements of EN 60947 and EN 61238 standards, and holds UL 1059 and SGS FI certifications.

The enclosure provides an IP20 protection rating, preventing contact with live parts. The operating temperature range from -25°C to +80°C allows use both indoors and outdoors, provided appropriate protection against atmospheric conditions is maintained.

Practical Applications

Especially recommended for photovoltaic installations where safe connection of different conductor types and high electrical parameters are required. In main power distribution boards, it ensures stable connections under high current loads.

The internal levels are galvanically connected at the factory, simplifying wiring in multi-circuit installations. Four holes on each level enable flexible connection configuration—from simple branching to complex distribution systems in power networks.
