Universal Al/Cu connections in demanding installations

The OTL95-2 cable lug is a professional solution for installations requiring a reliable connection of aluminum and copper conductors in a single terminal. Thanks to special galvanizing technology, it enables the direct connection of different materials without the need for Cu/Al adapters or bimetallic ferrules.

Advanced design and materials

The body made of PA66 polyamide provides not only excellent insulating properties but also high mechanical and thermal resistance. The material in the UL94 V0 flammability class guarantees maximum operational safety in industrial conditions. The yellow-green housing meets the requirements for PE protective conductor identification.

Specially applied factory conductive paste protects the electrical contact point from oxidation and galvanic corrosion, which is particularly important for Al/Cu connections. This solution eliminates the risk of contact overheating and extends the service life of the connection.

Operating parameters and safety

The device operates in a wide temperature range from -25°C to +80°C, maintaining full functionality in extreme environmental conditions. A rated voltage of up to 1500V DC and a rated current of 490A allow for application in both low-voltage and medium-voltage installations.

The connector has passed rigorous mechanical, load, and short-circuit tests, achieving short-circuit class A according to EN 60947 and EN 61238 standards. This means it can be used as main power terminals in installations exposed to current overloads and short circuits.

Versatility of application

The cross-section of connected conductors from 6 to 95 mm² supports both solid and stranded conductors, as well as rigid and multi-stranded sector cables. A single device can simultaneously handle aluminum-copper, aluminum-aluminum, or copper-copper connections.

The ClickSet™ mechanism enables rapid mounting on a TH-35 mm DIN rail, significantly accelerating the installation process. Alternatively, mounting via screws on a mounting plate is possible for greater application flexibility.

Normative compliance and certification

The product meets the requirements of international standards EN 60947 and EN 61238, holding UL 1059 and SGS FI certificates confirming the highest manufacturing quality. The IP20 protection rating provides effective protection against contact with live parts and against access to solid objects larger than 12mm.

Internal chambers are factory-bridged, which simplifies wiring and reduces the risk of installation errors when distributing power in main and auxiliary switchboards.
