The Female MC4 Photovoltaic Connector QUICK IP68 is a quick connector designed for solar applications. Thanks to TwinLock technology, it offers up to 50% time savings in assembly compared to traditional crimping methods. This tool-free solution eliminates the need for a crimping tool during installation.

TwinLock Technology

The heart of the product is the patented TwinLock technology utilizing dual spring blades. The design ensures secure locking of conductors with a cross-section of 4-6mm² and optimal current transmission with minimal energy losses. The "Strip-Insert-Tighten" system enables intuitive installation: simply strip the conductor to a length of 20-22mm, insert it into the connector until a tangible resistance is felt, and then tighten the HI-PRO ring nut.

The HI-PRO nut eliminates the need for torque wrenches while preventing accidental disconnection. The high-voltage coupling guarantees resistance to a pull-out force of up to 22 kg, which is 400% above legal requirements.

Electrical and Environmental Parameters

The connector operates at a voltage of up to 1500VDC with a rated current of 40A. A low contact resistance of <0.25mΩ ensures minimal energy losses during operation. The operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C (with maximum resistance up to 120°C) guarantees performance under various environmental conditions.

Maximum protection against weather conditions is provided by the IP68 protection rating, which safeguards against immersion and high-pressure water. The product maintains an IP65/68 protection class during normal operation and IP2X when disconnected.

Certification and Quality Standards

The component has been certified by TÜV SÜD in accordance with the standard IEC EN 62852:2015+A1:2020. The connector is compatible with the MC-4 standard and features an internal connector made of tinned alloy with a diameter of 4mm.
