Advanced gel-filled cable joint for demanding electrical installations

The BREAK30 gel-filled cable joint is a professional solution for connections and branches in low-voltage installations up to 1 kV. The two-piece design with high-density insulating gel provides reliable IP68 protection, allowing for use even in water immersion conditions.

Universal connection possibilities

The joint's design enables various types of connections:

• Series connections (straight-through) - handling conductors with cross-sections from 1,5 mm² to 50 mm²
• Branch connections - possibility of creating additional branches
• Single and multi-pole configurations - flexibility in installation design

The set includes a phase separator consisting of two plates with a locking latch, which ensures proper insulation between phases. For more advanced applications, optional modular screw connectors are available, allowing the connection of up to five conductors with a cross-section of up to 35 mm².

Construction and materials

The joint body is made of polypropylene - a material characterized by high resistance to chemicals and UV radiation. The two-piece, openable design is additionally ribbed on the inside, serving as a container for the insulating gel.

Special walls at both ends of the joint prevent the gel from leaking out while guaranteeing full watertightness. At the ends, there are two mounting holes for securing cable ties (included in the set), which limit conductor movement.

Operating and environmental parameters

The joint operates in a wide temperature range from -20°C to +90°C, enabling use in extreme environmental conditions. The high density of the gel and the solid housing ensure excellent mechanical strength - resistance to shocks, vibrations, and changing weather conditions.

The IP68 protection rating guarantees full dust tightness and protection against continuous immersion in water. This characteristic makes the joint an ideal solution for underground, underwater, and high-humidity installations.
