PVC-U 45° Elbow – Reliability and Durability in Installations
This elbow, made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) with a 45-degree angle and a diameter of 1 1/2 inches, is a connecting element for pipes in water, air conditioning, and industrial installations. Made of PVC, it provides corrosion resistance and long-term operation. Its design, based on the IPS steel pipe sizing system, guarantees compatibility with existing installations.
Properties and Application
The elbow is designed for connecting PVC-U pipes in cold water systems, air conditioning, and industrial installations transporting various chemical compounds. The maximum operating temperature is 45°C. Using aggressive adhesives ensures a tight and durable connection – the time to make such a connection does not exceed one minute, which significantly speeds up installation. The 45-degree angle allows for precise routing of the installation and bypassing obstacles. The outer diameter of the fitting is 48.1 mm.
Durability and Resistance – Key to Trouble-Free Operation
PVC-U fittings are characterized by exceptional durability – it is estimated that they will last at least 50 years without losing their properties. The material is resistant to scale and dirt buildup, ensuring constant flow and minimizing the risk of failure. In addition, PVC-U is physiologically and microbiologically inert, making it safe for drinking water installations. It is also worth mentioning its excellent insulating properties – both thermal and electrical – and resistance to many chemical compounds. The fitting design provides reduced local flow resistance, allowing for a full flow cross-section of the medium.
