SOLAR 42 solar system control module 067153
Integration of solar installation with heat pump
The SOLAR 42 control module enables the connection of a brine/water type heat pump with a solar thermal installation. This solution allows for the efficient use of energy obtained from solar collectors to heat domestic hot water.
Control of the entire system is carried out via the heat pump controller, which eliminates the need to install a separate management system for the solar installation. The user has access to all operating parameters from a single interface.
Kit contents and construction
The set includes everything needed to start the module:
- Temperature sensor - measures the temperature of the medium in the solar circuit and in the domestic hot water tank, allowing the controller to make decisions about switching the solar pump on or off.
- Control module in an enclosure - equipped with an additional expansion board that ensures communication between the solar installation and the heat pump.
- Circuit breaker - protects the module against current overload.
- Terminal block - enables a secure connection of electrical wires.
- Power supply - the module is ready for connection after being mounted on the wall.
Cooperation with NIBE heat pumps
The SOLAR 42 module is dedicated to NIBE heat pumps of the Sole/Wasser (brine/water) series. Integration means that the heat pump controller takes full control over the operation of the solar installation:
- When the temperature sensor detects a sufficient difference between the water in the collectors and the domestic hot water tank, the controller will switch on the circulation pump.
- When the temperature falls below the set threshold or the tank reaches the desired temperature - the pump will be switched off.
- The entire process is automatic and does not require manual intervention.
This solution allows for maximum utilization of free solar energy during periods of high solar radiation, while simultaneously relieving the heat pump and reducing operating costs.
Benefits for the installer and the end user
For the installer, the SOLAR 42 module is a well-thought-out accessory in one package - there is no need to separately select sensors or mounting elements. Communication with the heat pump takes place through the existing controller interface, which shortens the installation time.
For the user, the system operates automatically and does not require manual management. The heat pump controller independently optimizes the operation of the solar installation, maximizing the use of free solar energy and reducing the energy consumption of the heat pump.
