Intelligent driveway and pavement heating control

The VIA-DU-20 controller is an advanced solution for automatically switching on the heating of driveways, pavements and stairs. The device monitors both ambient temperature and humidity, activating the heating system only when there is a risk of ice formation or freezing drizzle. This minimizes energy consumption and ensures safe use of surfaces in difficult weather conditions.

The controller is designed for DIN rail mounting and is powered by 230V. The kit includes humidity and temperature sensors with a 15-meter cable, making it easier to optimally position them. With a protection class of IP65, the device is weather-resistant and can be used both indoors and outdoors.

The VIA-DU-20 controller has one switching channel with a rated current of 4A at 250V. It is designed to operate in networks with a frequency of 50-60 Hz and a rated voltage of 207-253V. The temperature regulator class is I, and the power consumption in standby mode is 5W. The width of the device is 9 modules (160mm), and the mounting depth is 58mm. The regulator does not have daily, weekly or holiday programming functions, or automatic summer/winter time change – it focuses on the basic function of intelligent control of driveway heating based on current weather conditions. The frost protection adjustment range is from 1 to 6°C, and the return state adjustment range is from 0 to 6°C. The device has a normally open contact, which means that the circuit is open until the heating activation condition is met.
