An economical solution for snow and ice protection

The RAYSTAT-M2 controller is a professional device for the economical management of ice protection systems on small and medium-sized surfaces. The design focuses on minimizing energy consumption while maintaining effective protection of external surfaces, stairs, ramps, and roof gutters.

Intelligent control with atmospheric condition detection

The device utilizes temperature and humidity sensor inputs to precisely control heating systems. When the sensor detects moisture along with a temperature below a set threshold (0-10°C), the controller automatically activates the heating. The system deactivates immediately once sensor parameters are met or after a "delay time" (0-5 hours), which can be individually adjusted.

The controller provides electronic on/off control for loads up to 3600W, with a 16A potential-free relay. The switching differential is 0.4°C, guaranteeing precise regulation without unnecessary temperature fluctuations.

Flexible configuration for various applications

For roof gutter protection, a combination of RAYSTAT-M2-R-SENSOR (moisture detection) and RAYSTAT-M2-A-SENSOR (ambient temperature measurement) is used. The heating system will be activated only when the outdoor temperature falls below the set value and the gutter sensor detects moisture.

In the case of flat surface protection, RAYSTAT-M2-G-SENSOR is used, which measures substrate temperature and moisture directly on the protected surface. The sensor is installed in areas where snow and ice problems typically occur, on a stable substrate with a concrete foundation.

Simple installation and reliable operation

Installation is performed on a DIN rail in an approved housing (3 modules, mounting depth 59mm). The device has an IP20 protection class and a standby power consumption of only 3W. All parameters are signaled by tri-color LEDs: green (power), red MOIST (moisture detected), red TEMP (temperature below threshold), red RELAY (active heating circuit).

The controller complies with CE, IEC EN 60730-1 and 60730-2-9 standards, ensuring a safe and compliant installation in electrical systems.
