Five-fold frame, matte white SONATA R-5R/75
Practical frame for professional installations
The five-gang SONATA frame in matte white is designed for mounting in recessed backboxes, where precise fit and easy access to terminals are critical. Its construction allows for both horizontal and vertical installation—without requiring module reorientation—making it easy to adapt to various wiring layouts.
The internal frame structure supports stable placement of five modules—connectors, sockets, or switches—thanks to spacer elements on bridges that ensure consistent and even spacing. This is not just about aesthetics; it guarantees that every terminal is perfectly aligned, free from tilts or stress.
Installation and quality control without additional tools
Each module installed in this frame can be inspected after mounting—the lateral wire exit allows visual verification of insulation termination at the terminal, even when the backbox is already closed. There’s no need to remove the frame to confirm that the wire hasn’t been under-insulated.
The measuring scale located on the rear side of the base connector is a simple yet effective feature: installers can quickly determine the optimal insulation length without needing a ruler. This saves time and eliminates installation errors.
Self-returning claws with stainless steel springs act as an “automatic latch”—the frame clicks gently into the backbox and holds firmly in place. No force or screws are required for installation. Removal is equally simple: just gently lift the edge.
Designed for installers—features that work
The red button on one of the terminals is not merely an aesthetic accent—it enables rapid identification of the live conductor. During servicing or diagnostics, there’s no need to search for the “phase” wire.
The ergonomic wire release buttons operate smoothly—even under high insulation tension or in confined spaces. No more struggling with “stuck” wires.
The matte finish not only aligns with contemporary interior trends but also resists fingerprint marks and minimizes glare—making work easier under spotlighting or recessed lighting.
There is no built-in lighting—but this is not a missing feature. It’s a deliberate design choice: the frame serves as a neutral base for illuminated modules (e.g., switches), not as a light source. Lighting elements are part of the connector modules only, not the frame itself.
All components are made from thermoplastic material—resistant to mechanical damage and stable under temperatures typical in residential installations. IP20 protection rating meets indoor standards—it is not intended for wet zones but performs ideally in living rooms, bedrooms, or kitchens.
