What is it and how does it work?

This is not a standard switch – it’s a mechanism designed to control blinds and roller shutters without needing to hold down the button. When you press one of the two buttons, the mechanism locks in position – the button remains “pressed,” and the shutter moves until it reaches its end position. Simply press the same button again to stop the movement or reverse the direction. It operates only when connected to a blind equipped with an end-stop switch – this switch cuts power to the motor once the shutter reaches its limit. There is no risk of overheating or mechanical damage, as current does not flow continuously.

Why does this solution work?

Push-in terminals allow for fast, secure wiring connections – no screw tightening is required, eliminating the risk of over-tightening or cutting the insulation. This saves installers time and ensures long-term connection stability. The rated current of 10 A is sufficient for most residential roller shutter motors, even those with higher starting torque, as the device’s design permits brief current surges without false tripping. The IP-20 protection rating means it is safe for use in dry indoor environments – bedrooms, living rooms, children’s rooms. It is not intended for wet zones such as bathrooms, but it can easily be upgraded to IP-44 by adding a sealing kit if you need to install it above a kitchen window or on a terrace.

What does it look like and how does it fit into interior design?

Every element in the Impresja series features a subtly convex line based on a square shape – it doesn’t dominate, yet it doesn’t disappear. Ecru is a soft, warm, almost natural shade – ideal when you want to avoid the “clinical” look of white without opting for a dominant color.
