Stairway Switch with Anthracite Frame – Solution for Circuits with Two Control Points

This is not just a regular switch. It’s a component that lets you turn lights on and off from two different locations — at the bottom and top of a staircase, at the start and end of a corridor, or by the entrance and exit of a room. It operates in tandem with another stairway switch: changing the state of one automatically reverses the state of the other. Simple, yet effective — without unnecessary complications.

The push-in terminals eliminate the need for screwdrivers or special tools. Wires simply insert into the sockets and are held securely — with no risk of loosening over time. This isn’t just faster — it’s safer for the installer. No need to worry about overload: 16 A at 250 V provides sufficient capacity for most lighting circuits in homes and multi-family buildings.

The frame is made of brushed aluminum in anthracite color, featuring a distinctive, slightly convex line based on a square design. It doesn’t draw attention like neon, yet it doesn’t disappear into the background either. It acts as a neutral but intentional detail — complementing both minimalist white walls and raw industrial aesthetics. Note: this is only the frame. A mounting box (not included in the set) is required for operation, and the unit itself is designed for flush mounting.

The IP-20 protection rating indicates it is intended for use in dry indoor environments — stairwells, corridors, and rooms. It is not suitable for bathrooms or damp basements without additional protection. However, if you wish to install it in a higher-humidity area, a sealing kit (sold separately) is available to upgrade the protection. This is not a limitation — it’s flexibility.

There is no backlighting. This is not a flaw — it’s a deliberate choice. A backlit version (ŁP-3YS/m/50) exists, but this anthracite model offers pure functionality. Sometimes less is more: no light on the switch means fewer sources of nighttime disturbance, reduced risk of LED burnout over time, and simpler maintenance.
