Pneumatic cylinder – reliability and hygiene in one

This pneumatic cylinder, made of stainless steel, is an ideal solution for applications requiring high corrosion resistance and cleanliness. Compliant with ISO 6432, it guarantees compatibility with a wide range of pneumatic systems. This is particularly important in industries such as food, pharmaceutical, or chemical, where maintaining hygiene is a priority.

Design and materials

The cylinder is characterized by a solid construction based on high-quality materials. The piston rod is made of stainless steel AISI 303, and the body and sleeve are made of stainless steel AISI 304. This combination ensures long-lasting and trouble-free operation even in harsh conditions. Seals are standardly made of polyurethane, but versions with Viton are available on request – for applications requiring resistance to higher temperatures (up to +150°C) or aggressive media. Built-in mechanical cushioning allows for smooth stopping of the piston rod, reducing noise and mechanical stress.

Operating parameters and application

The cylinder operates in a pressure range from 1 to 10 bar, using filtered compressed air. It does not require lubrication, which further reduces operating costs and the risk of medium contamination. It can be used in an ambient temperature from -20°C to 80°C (with Viton seals even up to +150°C), and the medium temperature should be in the range of 0°C to 40°C. Available diameters are ø16 to ø25 mm. Additionally, it is possible to order an ATEX version intended for potentially explosive atmospheres – it is worth remembering this when designing installations in potentially hazardous environments.
