Professional Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for IT infrastructure
The PowerWalker VFI 6000 RTG PF1 Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is a complete online solution designed to protect servers, network devices, and critical IT systems in rack environments. The device operates using true double conversion (TDC) technology, which means the connected load is fully isolated from the electrical grid - the AC signal is first converted to DC, and then back to AC with a perfectly clean sine wave. The result is zero transfer time to battery mode and protection against all voltage disturbances, surges, and other grid issues.
The RTG series features a modular design - the set includes the main UPS module, a dedicated Battery Pack BP SA192R-16x9Ah battery module, and an external MBS/PDU module serving as a service bypass and power distribution strip. Thanks to this, the user receives a ready-to-install solution that includes both the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) itself and an expansion of output sockets with 4 IEC C13 connectors and 2 IEC C19 connectors.
Technology and energy efficiency
A power factor of PF1.0 means that the apparent power (6 kVA) translates fully into active power (6 kW) - without the losses characteristic of cheaper power supplies with a lower power factor. For example, a device with an apparent power of 6 kVA with PF0.6 would deliver only 3.6 kW in reality, which can lead to overloading in these types of applications.
Efficiency at a level of >95% ensures economical operation while maintaining full power continuity. The adjustable charging current from 1A to 4A allows the battery regeneration speed to be adapted to current needs - faster charging during priority operation or slower charging to save energy and protect the batteries.
The cooling system with automatically regulated fan speed maintains an optimal operating temperature with a minimal noise level (<55 dB). The device is designed for continuous operation in professional conditions - installation in rack cabinets with a minimum depth of 800 mm is recommended.
Communication and system expansion
The USB port with HID (Human Interface Device) support enables the connection of the UPS without installing additional drivers - communication occurs directly through the Windows or Linux operating system. The set includes WinPower PL software in Polish, allowing for monitoring the power supply status, programming automatic system shutdowns, and sending email notifications in case of failure.
Additional interfaces include an RS-232 serial port, Dry Contact inputs, and an EPO connector allowing for immediate emergency power disconnection. An intelligent slot allows for expansion with communication modules - an SNMP card for remote management via LAN/Internet, a Modbus module for integration with BMS systems, or an AS/400 card.
An important function is the parallel ports, which allow for the connection of up to three UPS units of the same power - a solution useful when expanding infrastructure or meeting N+1 redundancy requirements.
Applications and compatibility
The clean sine wave at the output makes the power supply effective in protecting modern computers, servers, monitoring recorders, and other computer devices requiring a high level of voltage protection. The rack design (5U) allows for integration with existing 19-inch standard server cabinets. The MBS module enables battery replacement without interrupting the power continuity of the protected devices.
The power supply works with power generators and power supplies equipped with Active Power Factor Correction (APFC). The "cold start" function allows the UPS to be started directly from the battery - useful during a total lack of mains power.
