Side Lines and Indicator Module – Fire Alarm System Extension

This module, designed for Polon 6000 systems, enables the integration of conventional detection lines and indicators with the control panel. It is a key element for expanding existing installations or creating new, comprehensive alarm systems. Powered directly from the supervisory loop, it ensures reliable operation and simplifies wiring.

Functionality and application

The 6000/LPZA module acts as an interface between the control panel and peripheral devices. It allows connecting one conventional detection line (e.g., smoke detectors, heat detectors) and one line of acoustic and optical indicators. This makes it possible to monitor the status of detectors and effectively notify of a hazard in the event of a fire.

Technical characteristics and installation

The module is characterized by compact dimensions (146.5 x 42 x 118 mm) and a low weight (0.25 kg), which facilitates its installation even in hard-to-reach places. It has an input with an EOL resistance of 8.2 kΩ and an output with an EOL resistance of 10 kΩ, which ensures proper monitoring of the line status. The maximum quiescent current at the input is 500 μA, and the maximum load on the signaling line is 50 mA. The current drawn in alarm is 7.5 mA, and in standby mode – 0.8 mA. This makes the module energy-efficient and does not overload the supervisory loop. Mounting is done on a standard TS-35 mounting rail. The input voltage is in the range of 18-28 V DC, which ensures compatibility with most Polon 6000 systems.
