Advanced fire detection with Cirrus Pro 200 smoke detector
The Cirrus Pro 200 aspirating smoke detector is an addressable device utilizing an advanced Wilson cell for extremely fast fire hazard detection. Its design minimizes the risk of false alarms, which is crucial in demanding environments where the presence of dust, fumes, or condensing water vapor can interfere with the operation of traditional detectors.
This allows installers and end-users to rely on dependable protection.
Construction and functionality
The detector transmits information about the detected hazard via alarm outputs, audible signaling (buzzer), and visual indication (LED on the front panel). Simple installation and configuration are an additional advantage that will be appreciated by both professionals and individuals who independently care about safety. The sampling tube system with a total length of up to 200 meters allows monitoring of large areas. It is worth noting the possibility of connecting tubes with diameters from 19 to 25 mm – a diameter of 25 mm is preferred for optimal airflow.
Operating parameters and compliance with standards
The Cirrus Pro 200 is designed to operate in a wide range of ambient temperatures (0°C to 38°C) and humidity (10-95% RH without condensation). It meets the requirements of EN 54-20, which guarantees its compliance with European fire safety standards. The device is characterized by high flexibility thanks to programmable inputs (4 pcs) – they can be used for remote reset, blocking, sensitivity adjustment, or receiving external signals informing, for example, about a power supply failure. Additionally, it has 5 programmable relay outputs (NO) with a load capacity of 1A @ 30V DC.
The device's power supply is in the range of 21 to 29 V DC. Power consumption in standby mode is 8.2 W at 24 V DC and a fan speed of 90%. Standby current consumption is 340 mA, and alarm current consumption is 500 mA (with the same voltage and fan speed settings). The detector's sensitivity range is from 20,000 to 3 million particles per cubic centimeter. The device dimensions are 215 x 360 x 144 mm, and its weight is approximately 5 kg. The degree of protection is IP30, and the maximum length of the sampling tubes is up to 200 meters.
The built-in event log stores up to 128 entries, which facilitates analysis of alarm history and diagnosis of potential problems. Cable termination is carried out using screw terminals accepting wires with a cross-section of 0.2 to 2.5 mm². The detector also has six cable glands with a diameter of 20 mm to facilitate mounting.
