Addressable smoke detector with acoustic signaler

This interactive, addressable optical smoke detector with an acoustic signaler is a component of the Protec fire alarm system, designed for quick and reliable fire hazard detection. It uses a scattered light beam to detect smoke, and the built-in acoustic signaler immediately informs about the alarm. Thanks to its addressability, the detector enables precise location of the source of the hazard, which significantly improves rescue operations and minimizes losses.

Functionality and application

The 6000PLUS/OP/S detector is compatible with Algo-tec™ 6000PLUS loops, ensuring reliable communication and integration with the fire alarm control panel. It has a built-in short-circuit isolator, which protects the loop against failures caused by a short circuit in one of the circuits. The acoustic signaler emits a continuous 990Hz tone or a variable-tone signal in the range of 730Hz-990Hz, as well as a pulsed 990Hz signal – all with the possibility of synchronization via the fire alarm control panel. This allows the installer to adapt the detector's operation to the specific requirements of the facility.

It finds application in various building facilities: offices, warehouses, production halls, schools, hospitals, and in any place requiring reliable fire protection. It is particularly useful where rapid fire detection and precise location of the source of the hazard are crucial for ensuring the safety of people and property.

Technical characteristics and benefits

The detector is characterized by low current consumption – only 0.4 mA in standby mode and 5 mA in alarm mode (at 24V). This translates into energy savings and reduces the load on the power supply system. An LED indicator on the board informs about the detector's status and any alarm activation. Operation in a wide temperature range (from -10°C to +50°C) and high resistance to humidity (up to 95% RH without condensation) guarantee reliable operation even in difficult environmental conditions. IP21C class provides protection against solid objects larger than 12.5 mm and against falling drops of water at a certain angle.
