Power supply for DSO systems – reliable power for safety

This power supply is dedicated to uninterrupted power supply for the call station (fireman's microphone) in Voice Alarm Systems (VAS). It provides stabilized 24V DC voltage, crucial for the correct operation of the fire alarm system. The device is particularly useful in buildings requiring a high level of safety and reliability.

The DSOS24V power supply is designed to work with 7Ah/12V AGM or gel lead-acid batteries, which guarantees long-term power backup in the event of a power failure. A wide range of supply voltage (176-264 V AC) makes it a universal solution, and a low level of voltage ripple ensures stable operation of connected devices.

Functionality and protection

The power supply has a number of protective functions that protect both the installation itself and the connected devices. These include:

• Short-circuit protection (SCP) and overload protection (OLP) – protect against damage caused by incorrect operation of the installation.
• Battery undervoltage protection (UVP) – extends battery life.
• Battery circuit resistance monitoring – allows for early detection of battery problems.
• Automatic temperature compensation for battery charging – optimizes the charging process depending on the ambient temperature.
• Two-stage battery charging process and fast charging function – ensure quick and efficient battery charging.
• Battery circuit continuity check, battery voltage check and battery fuse status check.

Additionally, a built-in microprocessor monitors the operating status of the power supply and signals any failures using LEDs and relay outputs. Acoustic signaling informs about problems, and the possibility of remote monitoring (in some versions) increases user comfort.

Mounting and compliance with standards

The power supply is housed in a durable metal housing (RAL 3001 - red), adapted for surface mounting. It meets the requirements of PN-EN 54-4:2001+A1:2004+A2:2007 and PN-EN 12101-10:2007+AC:2007, which confirms its high quality and reliability. It also has a CNBOP-PIB approval certificate No. 5402/2024 and a certificate of conformity No. 1438-CPR-1019. Thanks to this, installers can be sure that the device meets all required fire safety standards.
