RACK Security 2U Housing – Reliable Protection for Your System

The RACK-Security 2U housing is a solid and functional solution for mounting alarm control panels and input/output modules in 19" RACK cabinets. Designed to work with alarm systems from various manufacturers, it provides a safe and organized placement of components. It is ideal for both professional installations and home security systems.

Construction and Functionality

Made of durable steel sheet (1mm/1.5mm) in RAL9004 color (black), the housing provides high resistance to mechanical damage. The height of 2U (89mm) allows for easy integration with most standard 19" RACK cabinets. Inside there is space for an alarm control panel, expansion modules, a 7Ah battery and a transformer (not included). Additionally, the housing is equipped with PCB boards for connecting signal and power cables, which facilitates cable organization. The PCB boards allow connection to 24 signal lines (30VDC/1.5A). Power is supplied via a dedicated PCB with parameters 230VAC/max.5A.

Safety and Protection

The housing is equipped with three independent tamper protection features:

• Removal of the housing from the RACK profiles – C/NO contact (closed when properly mounted).
• Opening of the housing – C/NO contact (closed when properly mounted).
• Opening of the cross-connect – C/NO contact (closed when properly mounted).

Thanks to them, any attempt of unauthorized access to the system will be immediately detected.

Compatibility and Application

The ARAD-S2 housing is compatible with control panels from popular manufacturers such as: DSC, PARADOX, RISCO, SATEL, PYRONIX, CROW and ROGER. The possibility of mounting in RACK cabinets with a depth of 800 or 1000mm (using appropriate ARAS800 or ARAS1000 rails - available separately) increases its versatility. Designed for indoor use (IP20). Additionally, it can be equipped with MM020 or MM064 protective conduits for better cable organization.
