The EN54C-LS8 sequential module is a device designed to work with actuators equipped with a return spring, used in fire protection systems. Its main task is to sequentially switch on receivers, which allows for controlled start-up of devices such as fire dampers and smoke extractors. This ensures effective fire protection and improves safety in the building.

Functionality and application

This module is a key element of fire alarm systems, enabling precise control of actuator operation. A 100ms delay in switching on receivers prevents simultaneous start-up of all devices, which can lead to overload of the electrical installation. The EN54C-LS8 module is primarily used in public buildings, industrial facilities and anywhere where reliable operation of fire protection systems is required. It is dedicated to power supplies of the EN54C / EN54M series.

Construction features and protections

The module is characterized by a compact design with dimensions of 150 x 27 x 52.5 mm. It has a control input INPUT (parametric, 2x4.7kΩ) and relay technical outputs PSU – signaling a failure of the parametric input INPUT. The applied OLP (overload protection) protects against overload of the installation, ensuring its long-term and trouble-free operation. In addition, the module has an optical LED indicator, which informs about its operating status. This makes diagnostics and service simple and effective.
