PexPenta Pipe – Reliability and Durability in Heating Systems

PexPenta PE-Xc pipe is a modern solution designed for underfloor heating systems and the delivery of heating medium to radiators. As the first on the market, it offers complete protection against oxygen diffusion, significantly extending the lifespan of the entire installation. The pipe’s five-layer structure, manufactured in a single process, combines strength and flexibility, simplifying installation even in complex layouts.

The pipe is wrapped with a special hook-and-loop tape, greatly facilitating its attachment to Klettjet insulation mats—a solution highly valued by both installers and end users. This results in faster and more precise installation.

Construction and Properties

The use of cross-linked polyethylene (PE-Xc) in the inner layer ensures resistance to high temperatures (up to 90°C) and aggressive chemicals present in water. The centrally positioned EVOH oxygen barrier effectively prevents oxygen penetration, protecting metal components of the system from corrosion. The five-layer wall structure ensures dimensional stability and resistance to mechanical damage.

Operating Parameters

The PexPenta pipe with an outer diameter of 16 mm and wall thickness of 2 mm features a low thermal conductivity coefficient (0.42 W/(m·K)), enhancing the energy efficiency of the heating system. The minimum bending radius is 5 times the outer diameter (80 mm), allowing precise adaptation to the installation layout. The pipe is available in orange color, facilitating identification within the system. Water content per meter of pipe is approximately 0.113 liters. Maximum operating pressure is PN6 bar.
