Protection of the installation against mechanical contamination

This device is dedicated to installation in potable water systems, where maintaining medium purity and protecting connected equipment (e.g., faucets, boilers, heat exchangers) from rust, sand, or small solid particles is critical. Thanks to the use of a mesh with 500 µm openings, the filter effectively traps contaminants that could lead to system failures or reduced efficiency. Water flows through a stainless steel insert, ensuring the durability of the filtering element even during long-term operation.

A distinguishing feature of this model is the possibility of backwashing without the need to disassemble the device. This system allows for rapid removal of accumulated contaminants using a small amount of water. Importantly, for continuity of supply, the cleaning process does not interrupt the flow of filtered water into the installation – water is filtered through the upper part of the insert while the lower part is flushed. This mechanism is based on patented Double Spin technology, where an internal rotor rotates under the influence of flowing water, mechanically removing sediment from the mesh surface.

Construction and ease of operation

The filter housing is made of dezincification-resistant brass (DZR), ensuring corrosion resistance in a water environment. The filter bowl is made of transparent, impact-resistant polyamide (PA), enabling visual inspection of the insert's degree of soiling without the need to unscrew the device. This allows the user or installer to easily determine when flushing is required.

The set includes a pressure gauge for monitoring pressure drop – an increase in the pressure difference before and after the filter signals the need for cleaning. The device also features a special adjustment ring that acts as a visual indicator of the time between successive flushing cycles. Operation is facilitated by a ball valve with a drain cover and a standard 50 mm drain connection, simplifying the attachment of a pipe for discharging dirty water.

Device installation requires a horizontal position with the bowl facing downward. BSPT-R (tapered) threaded connections ensure a tight seal with installation pipes without the need for additional gaskets at the thread (gaskets are already installed). The maximum working pressure is 16 bar, and the operating temperature ranges from 2 to 40 °C. The connections have a nominal diameter of 3/4 inch (DN 20), and the device's Kvs value is 7.2 m³/h at a pressure drop of 0.5 bar under nominal conditions.

The device features a large filtering surface area, resulting in lower pressure drop and longer operation time between flushing cycles. The filter insert is replaceable, and its replacement does not require specialized tools – only the spanner wrench included with the product or a standard socket wrench fitting the bowl housing is needed. This makes system servicing quick and does not require shutting down the entire water system for an extended period. The minimum dynamic pressure required for proper operation of the flushing system is 1.5 bar.

The filter can also be equipped with automation for controlling the flushing cycle, making it an ideal solution for facilities requiring full automation of the maintenance process for water installations. All materials used in production meet hygienic requirements for potable water (KTW certification), which is essential for installations supplying residential and public buildings with water intended for human consumption.
