EA Class Anti-contamination Check Valve, 3/4 inch with threaded union RV281-3/4A
Protection of drinking water against backflow of contaminants
The EA-class anti-contamination check valve ensures effective protection of water supply systems against backflow, which is critical in drinking water systems – especially where contamination risk exists according to Category 2 of standard EN 1717. It prevents water from flowing back from the end-use installation (e.g., taps, showers, appliances) into the supply network, thereby meeting sanitary regulatory requirements for residential, commercial, and public buildings.
Construction and operation – simple, reliable, serviceable
The valve operates on the principle of a spring-loaded poppet, which opens when flow occurs in the supply direction – at pressures above 50 mbar – and automatically closes when pressure drops. The closing spring ensures rapid and precise shut-off, eliminating the risk of water hammer. The 90° angle allows installation in any position – horizontal, vertical, or inclined – without affecting performance. The housing is made of dezincification-resistant brass (DZR), guaranteeing long-term corrosion resistance in waters with varying chemical compositions. The EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene) sealing material is resistant to temperatures from 2 to 65 °C and does not react with drinking water – confirmed by the DVGW water certificate.
Installation and durability – ready for immediate use
The connections feature internal BSPP-G threads (ISO 228-1), standard in European water installations – no adaptation required. Each connection has a length of 60 mm, facilitating installation even in tight spaces. Materials are supplied in raw, uncoated condition, so there is no need to remove paint or coatings before installation – only appropriate sealing tape or thread sealant is required. All internal mechanism components are replaceable without dismantling the entire valve – significantly reducing service time. The manufacturer's warranty is 5 years from the date of production – confirming its durability and structural stability.
