Damper GWC iGROUND CUBE 250 RWA0711.00.0006.A00

Intelligent air supply control with iGROUND CUBE 250

The GWC iGROUND CUBE 250 damper is a key element of ventilation systems with a ground heat exchanger, enabling automatic switching between air intake from the ground exchanger and a wall intake. This allows the ventilation system to optimize its operation depending on current weather conditions and building needs, ensuring comfort and energy savings. The damper is particularly useful in heat recovery units, where control algorithms, in combination with the damper actuator, determine the most effective ventilation method.

Functionality and application

The GWC iGROUND CUBE 250 is not limited to switching between air sources. It can also be used in defrosting systems, allowing air recirculation during heat exchanger defrosting. This versatile solution improves the efficiency of the entire ventilation system throughout the year. For proper operation of the damper, the iEDGE E2.2 expansion module and T PROBE D2.2 temperature sensor are required – these elements ensure precise control and monitoring of operating parameters.

Design and installation – what you need to know?

The damper is designed for easy installation and reliable operation. It is important to maintain a vertical orientation of the damper axis during installation, in accordance with the markings on the housing – ventilation ducts should diverge in a horizontal plane. When installing with rigid ducts, it is recommended to use flexible connectors, which will facilitate the removal of the damper if servicing or maintenance is required. The actuator supply voltage is 11-16 V DC, and control is achieved by changing the polarity of the voltage – the actuator current consumption does not exceed 80 mA. It should be remembered that the maximum pressure difference at the damper nozzles is 100 Pa – exceeding this value may lead to incomplete flap closure and uncontrolled air mixing. Due to the greater air flow resistance through the ground heat exchanger, it is recommended to connect the damper directly to the central ventilation unit nozzle to minimize pressure losses in the installation. Before installation, it is worth checking the technical condition of the damper: cleanliness of the interior, condition of the insulating foam and silicone gasket on the nozzles – this guarantees long-term and trouble-free operation of the device.
