Frequency inverter for a wide range of applications

This Schneider Electric Altivar 212 frequency inverter is a reliable solution for controlling asynchronous motors in HVAC applications such as pumps, fans and compressors. The device is designed to operate in 380-480V AC, 50/60Hz power supplies and offers an output power of up to 45 kW at 94A. Its compact dimensions (240 mm width, 550 mm height and 244 mm depth) allow for easy integration with existing installations.

Functionality and communication

The inverter is equipped with a number of communication interfaces, enabling integration with building automation systems and management platforms. In addition to the standard RS-485 interface, it supports Modbus and LON protocols. It has three digital inputs, one analog output and two analog inputs, providing flexibility in control configuration. The ability to connect a PC facilitates programming and diagnostics.

Construction and protection

The housing with IP21 protection degree provides protection against access to live parts and against the fall of solid objects larger than 12mm. The inverter is designed for both industrial applications and in residential and commercial buildings. Thanks to the possibility of working with an output frequency of up to 200 Hz, it allows for precise adjustment of the engine operating parameters to specific application requirements. The relative tolerance of the mains voltage is 10%, and the frequency – 5%, which increases the resistance to voltage fluctuations.
