The ATV320 frequency inverter is a versatile device designed to control asynchronous and synchronous motors in industrial applications. The integrated EMC filter ensures electromagnetic compatibility, and the IP20 protection degree protects against the ingress of solid objects. The device is powered by a 200-240V AC voltage and allows for smooth adjustment of the motor speed, which translates into process optimization and energy savings. This inverter is used in packaging machines, close-range transport, mechanical actuators and lifting equipment.

Construction and functionality

The ATV320 is distinguished by its compact book-style design, which facilitates mounting in automation cabinets and minimizes space occupied. It has six digital inputs, one digital output, three analog inputs and one analog output, providing flexibility in configuring the control system. Built-in communication interfaces – CANopen, Modbus RTU, PROFIBUS, CAN, DeviceNet and EtherNet/IP – enable integration with various automation systems and remote control and diagnostics. Additionally, the presence of an RS-485 port allows for serial communication. The integrated braking module (chopper) increases the reliability of the device in applications requiring frequent load changes.

The ATV320 inverter offers advanced safety features such as STO (Safe Torque Off), SLS (Safely Limited Speed), SS1 (Safe Stop 1), SMS (Safe Maximum Speed) and GDL (Guard Door Locking), which ensure safe machine operation and personnel protection. The ability to operate in all quadrants of the coordinate system and high tolerance to network voltage (±10%) and network frequency (±5%) guarantee stable operation under various power supply conditions. The robust construction allows operation at temperatures up to 60°C, and compliance with environmental standards (3C3) ensures reliability in harsh industrial conditions.
