This Schneider Electric Altivar 320 frequency inverter is a reliable solution for controlling synchronous and asynchronous motors in simple industrial and commercial machines. Design and functionality

The Altivar 320 stands out with its compact design, allowing for vertical arrangement of drives in machines – which translates to space savings. The robust construction allows operation at temperatures up to 60°C and in harsh environmental conditions (class 3C3 and 3S2 according to EN/IEC 60721-3-3). The availability of communication modules and libraries compliant with PLCOpen facilitates integration with control systems. The versatility of the device is emphasized by the possibility of using ATVLogic – a simplified PLC with over 50 function blocks – and support for six different motor control techniques for optimal dynamics or reduced energy consumption. The possibility of connecting drives via a DC bus allows eliminating costly braking systems and returning energy to the grid.
