Professional current transformer for demanding installations

The PowerLogic METSECT5MA020 current transformer is a tropicalized solution designed specifically for busbars and cables with a diameter up to 27 mm. The device enables safe current measurement of 200 A at a secondary output of 5 A, making it an ideal tool for monitoring loads in electrical switchboards.

Construction and technical parameters

The transformer features a compact construction with dimensions of 56 × 80 × 43 mm (frame) with the option of mounting on a DIN rail, busbar, or mounting plate. The compact design (external width only 56 mm) allows installation in tight switchboard spaces without compromising functionality.

The device ensures high measurement precision thanks to two accuracy classes:

• Class 0.5 at maximum power 4 VA
• Class 1 at maximum power 7 VA

The safety factor of FS ≤5 guarantees reliable operation even during momentary overloads. Tropicalization of the device ensures stable operation at temperatures from -25°C to +60°C.

Application and compatibility

The transformer is designed for current measurement in various installation configurations. It supports cables with a maximum external diameter of 27 mm and busbars with dimensions:

• 32.5 × 10.5 mm
• 25.5 × 15.5 mm

The device can be mounted in three ways: snap-on on a DIN rail, using screws, or through a dedicated mounting plate. The insulated locking screw ensures secure attachment even under vibration conditions.

The rated insulation voltage of 3 kV and surge voltage resistance up to 3 kV guarantee safe operation in installations up to 720 V AC. Short-circuit conditions are withstood thanks to the conventional thermal current [Ith] = 12 kA.

The transformer meets the requirements of international standards:

• IEC 61869-2 - standard for measuring transformers
• VDE 0414 - German quality standard

The product has CE and EAC conformity certifications, enabling its use on European and Eurasian markets. The IP20 degree of protection protects against finger contact and access of solid objects larger than Ø12mm.

As a Green Premium product, it meets the requirements of the RoHS directive and REACh - it does not contain SVHC substances in quantities exceeding standards. The Class B electrical insulation construction ensures long-term stability of electrical parameters in challenging environmental conditions.
