This tropicalized current transformer from the PowerLogic series has been specifically designed for measuring current in busbars and cables with an outer diameter of up to 40 mm. The device provides precise measurement at a primary current of 600 A and a secondary current of 5 A, making it an ideal solution for industrial switchboards and power installations requiring high measurement accuracy.

The transformer features a compact design with dimensions of 70×95×45 mm and a weight of only 0.349 kg, facilitating installation in limited switchboard spaces. Thanks to tropicalization, the device maintains full functionality in temperatures from -25°C to 60°C and at a relative humidity of 0-95%, performing well in both cold storage and hot industrial environments.

Technical parameters and operational safety

The transformer offers two accuracy classes tailored to different measurement needs: class 0.5 with a maximum power of 6 VA providing the highest measurement precision, and class 1 with a maximum power of 8 VA for standard measurement applications. The saturation factor FS 5 guarantees safe operation even during significant transient overloads.

The device operates at a rated voltage below 720V AC at a frequency of 50/60 Hz, features insulation with a withstand voltage of 3 kV, and has an electrical insulation class of B. The conventional thermal current is 36 kA, and the dynamic withstand current reaches a value of 2,5 Ith. The maximum safety factor is set at 5, providing additional protection against unforeseen situations.

Mounting, compatibility, and regulatory compliance

The transformer offers universal mounting options - it can be installed on a DIN rail using clips or screws, and can also be mounted to a busbar or mounting plate. Specially designed openings allow for the connection of busbars with dimensions of 50,5×12,5 mm or 40,5×20,5 mm, significantly expanding the range of compatibility with existing installations.

The device meets the requirements of international standards IEC 61869-2 and VDE 0414, and holds CE and EAC certificates confirming compliance with European safety standards. The enclosure protection rating is IP20, protecting against finger contact and access to solid bodies larger than 12 mm. Insulated locking screws provide additional safety during installation and operation.
