Current transformer PowerLogic DIN 800/5 or busbar trunking system METSECT5MC080
Professional current transformer for demanding applications
This tropicalized current transformer from the PowerLogic series has been specifically designed for measuring large currents in power installations. Thanks to its robust construction and compact dimensions, it performs well in both industrial switchboards and applications where mounting space is limited.
Construction and electrical parameters
The transformer utilizes a solid core in accordance with the IEC standard, ensuring high measurement stability across a wide range of loads. The current transformer with a rated primary current of 800A and a secondary current of 5A offers an accuracy class of 0.5 at an apparent power of 10 VA, while at a full burden of 12 VA, it achieves an accuracy class of 1.
The saturation factor FS 5 guarantees resistance to short-term overloads up to 48 kA, and the dynamic withstand current is 2.5 Ith. The device operates safely in temperatures from -25°C to +60°C at a relative humidity of 0-95%, making it ideal for harsh environmental conditions.
Dimensions and mounting compatibility
The transformer features an opening with dimensions of 41 x 41 mm and a through diameter of 32 mm, allowing for mounting on busbars of various dimensions. It is compatible with triple busbar outputs: 40,5 x 10,5 mm, 32,5 x 20,5 mm, or 25,5 x 25,5 mm.
The compact design has external dimensions of 70 x 95 x 45 mm (frame) with a total depth of 65 mm, and the device weight is only 0,499 kg. Mounting is possible on a DIN rail using screws or a clip-on mounting system, as well as directly on a mounting plate or busbar.
Regulatory compliance and operating conditions
The transformer meets the requirements of international standards IEC 61869-2 and the German VDE 0414, holding a CE certificate and electrical insulation class B. It provides protection against contact according to the IP20 standard and withstands an insulation voltage of up to 3 kV.
The device can operate at a working voltage of up to 720 V AC at a frequency of 50/60 Hz. The maximum safety factor is 5, which guarantees reliable operation even in the event of unforeseen overload conditions in the installation.
