Tropicalized current transformer PowerLogic

This PowerLogic series current transformer has been designed for precise current measurement in high-demand electrical installations. Thanks to its compact design and universal mounting options, it is suitable for both industrial switchboards and building automation systems.

Construction and electrical parameters

The through-type current transformer with an aperture diameter of 26 mm enables the measurement of conductors with a maximum cable outer diameter of 26 mm. The rated primary current of 250 A is reduced to a standard secondary current of 5 A, ensuring compatibility with most measuring and protection devices.

The device offers two accuracy classes:

• Class 0.5 at a maximum apparent power of 4 VA
• Class 1 at a maximum apparent power of 6 VA

The safety factor is FS 5. The rated insulation voltage is 3 kV, and the rated operating voltage does not exceed 720 V AC at mains frequency (50/60 Hz).

Mounting versatility and compatibility

The transformer is adapted for various installation methods:

• DIN rail mounting using insulated screws or clips
• Busbar mounting
• Mounting on a mounting plate

Compatibility with double busbar output includes the following dimensions:

• 40,5 × 12,5 mm
• 32,5 × 15,5 mm

Compact external dimensions (60 × 85 × 43/63 mm) and a low weight (0,305 kg) facilitate integration into existing installations without the need to modify switchboards.

Operating conditions and safety standards

The device maintains full functionality across a wide temperature range from -25°C to +60°C and at a relative humidity of 0...95%. Tropicalization ensures resistance to harsh environmental conditions typical for industrial installations.

The transformer meets the requirements of international standards:

• IEC 61869-2 - standard for instrument transformers
• VDE 0414 - German safety standard
• CE - European conformity certificate

Electrical insulation class B and the IP20 protection rating guarantee safe operation in industrial environments. The conventional thermal current is 15 kA, and the dynamic withstand current is 2,5 Ith, ensuring resistance to short-circuit conditions.
