Three-phase hybrid inverter with integrated energy storage

This device combines a photovoltaic inverter, energy management system (EMS), and battery interface—all in one reliable enclosure. It operates in both on-grid (grid-tied) and off-grid (island) modes, giving you full control over when and how to use your generated energy. No additional BDU module is required when connecting to SOFAR BTS-5K batteries—the system is ready to operate immediately.

Intelligent energy management and flexible expansion

Automatically stores excess daytime energy from solar panels and uses it during evening or nighttime hours when tariffs are higher—especially beneficial under G12 time-of-use pricing. You can manually set battery charging and discharging times to optimize costs, increasing self-consumption and reducing electricity bills. The system also allows you to control or fully disable energy export to the grid.

You can install 1 to 6 BTS-5K battery modules, providing a total capacity range of 5 kWh to 30 kWh. If more capacity is needed, multiple inverters can be linked to achieve up to 180 kWh total storage. The modular design works like LEGO blocks—easy to expand without redesigning the entire system.

Safety, durability, and simple installation

The inverter features an IP65 protection rating, ensuring resistance to dust and water—ideal for outdoor or variable-environment installations. Built-in AFCI detects DC arc faults and instantly cuts power, preventing fire risks. It also protects against reverse PV or battery connection, overloads, and voltage surges.

It includes 3 independent MPPT trackers with a maximum input current of 20 A per channel, enabling connection of panels with different orientations or tilt angles without power loss. Maximum PV input power is 24 kWp, offering flexibility for larger system designs.

Cooling is passive—no fans mean silent operation and no mechanical failures. The unit is wall-mounted, with dimensions of 708 x 440 x 170 mm and a weight of 30 kg, allowing easy transport and installation even in confined spaces.

The built-in LCD display operates without internet access—you can check operating parameters, adjust settings, or shut down the system directly from the device. Additionally, remote monitoring is available via the SOFAR Cloud app on smartphone or computer.

Emergency backup operation is enabled by a built-in DC switch with a switching time of less than 10 ms, ensuring uninterrupted power to critical loads. It supports 100% unbalanced three-phase loads, making it ideal for homes or small businesses with diverse electrical demands.
