Three-phase hybrid inverter with three MPPT and built-in DC disconnect

The SOFAR ESI-8K-T1 inverter combines solar energy production with battery storage — without requiring additional components. It operates in on-grid mode but can function independently as an off-grid system when the grid is disconnected. Switching between modes occurs automatically with a transition time of 10 ms — fast enough to prevent disruption of sensitive equipment.

It features three independent MPPT trackers, each with AFCI protection and a maximum input current of 20 A. This allows connection of panels with different orientations or tilt angles without power loss. Recommended maximum PV input power is 16 kWp — ideally suited for typical residential and small commercial installations.

Connect the battery directly to the inverter via a single input with operating voltage range 350–435 Vdc. Charging power up to 10 kW, discharging power up to 8 kW. Maximum discharge current: 24 A. Supports lithium-ion batteries (compatible with manufacturer’s list); communication with BMS occurs via CAN.

The built-in DC disconnect eliminates the need for an external safety device. Protection against reverse PV and battery connection, output short-circuit, and residual current is standard.

IP66 protection rating — resistant to dust and water jets from any direction. Suitable for outdoor mounting: under roof eaves, on building walls, or in external enclosures.

Passive cooling — no fan, ensuring silent operation. Standby power consumption below 10 W. Operating temperature range: -30°C to +60°C — functions reliably even in extreme climatic conditions.

Communication: RS485 + optional WiFi/4G/LAN. Control via mobile app — set charging and discharging times according to G12 tariff, monitor self-consumption and grid export.

The LCD display and mobile app provide full system control without opening the enclosure.
