The SOFAR 5.5KTLX-G3 inverter is designed for medium-sized photovoltaic systems—from single-family homes to small commercial facilities. With an output power of 5 kW (5500 VA), it enables efficient conversion of energy from solar panels with a maximum input power of 7.5 kWp, offering flexibility in system design. It operates on 3/N/PE networks with a voltage of 230/400 V, and the acceptable grid voltage range (310–480 V) ensures stable performance even under unstable supply conditions.
Two Independent MPPT Trackers and Wide DC Voltage Range
Thanks to two independent MPPT trackers, you can connect two separate string arrays—e.g., one on a south-facing roof and another on an east-facing roof—without performance loss. The operating voltage range of 140 V to 1000 V and a minimum start voltage of 160 V allow operation even under low sunlight conditions or during cold winter mornings. The maximum input voltage of 1100 V supports longer panel series, reducing cable losses and simplifying system design.
Installation-Level Protection and Safety
The device features a built-in DC isolator, enabling safe system disconnection during maintenance or faults, along with integrated Type II surge protection devices on both DC and AC sides. It protects against reverse polarity, islanding, lack of grounding, and earth leakage current. With an IP65 protection rating and a corrosion-resistant aluminum housing, it can be mounted outdoors without requiring an enclosure or shelter.
Unlimited Monitoring and Communication
Integrated WLAN/LAN and RS485 interfaces enable real-time remote access to data via the SOFAR View app. You can monitor each PV string individually, analyze performance, and diagnose faults without physical access to the device. Operational memory retains data for up to 25 years, and firmware can be updated remotely—ensuring long-term compatibility with evolving grid standards.
Low Idle Consumption and Passive Cooling
In standby mode, it consumes less than 0.5 W of energy—resulting in additional annual savings. Passive cooling (without fans) eliminates mechanical failure risks, reduces noise below 40 dB, and enhances reliability in humid or dusty environments. The inverter operates in temperatures ranging from -30°C to +60°C and is certified for installation at altitudes up to 4000 m above sea level.
Efficiency and Durability
The maximum conversion efficiency reaches 98.4%, with European efficiency (ηEU) at 97.5%—among the highest in its class. MPPT efficiency exceeds 99.9%, ensuring minimal losses during changing light conditions.
