The SDM230-Modbus energy meter is an intelligent device designed for precise measurement of network parameters in photovoltaic systems, especially in zero-export energy configurations. It enables monitoring of voltage, current, active power, reactive power and frequency, transmitting data to the solar inverter via RS485 communication using the Modbus RTU protocol. This is crucial for optimizing system performance and ensuring efficient use of generated energy.
This single-phase meter, mounted on a DIN rail, is indispensable for monitoring energy consumption and delivery to the grid. This allows both installers and end-users to have a complete picture of energy flow in the system. The LCD display provides clear access to current measurement values directly on the device.

The SDM230-Modbus meter is characterized by high measurement accuracy – voltage with an accuracy of 0.5%, current 0.5% of the rated value and frequency 0.2%. This ensures the reliability of data used to analyze the efficiency of the photovoltaic system. The device operates stably in a wide temperature range (from -25°C to 55°C) and humidity (0-95%), which guarantees its reliability in various environmental conditions. The use of the Modbus RTU protocol facilitates integration with various monitoring and control systems.
The meter's design is designed for easy mounting on a DIN 43880 rail (dimensions 76x94.5mm). The robust housing provides protection against mechanical damage and external factors. Rated voltage of 230V at a frequency of 56-60Hz makes the meter compatible with most standard electrical installations.
