The STAIRS ST-55-14-M4-2" submersible pump is a NEMA-compliant hydraulic unit with a 4-inch diameter, ideally suited for boreholes of a corresponding diameter, offering a maximum flow rate of 250 liters per minute and a head up to 83 meters.

Design and materials

The robust construction based on high-grade AISI 304 stainless steel guarantees durability and corrosion resistance. Key components such as the pump housing, discharge and suction ports, cable shield, and impeller hubs are made of the same material, ensuring uniform resistance to environmental conditions.

Special attention is given to the innovative floating impellers concept made of Noryl - this solution significantly reduces starting torque requirements and, above all, increases resistance to sand contained in the water. The shaft sleeve made of carbon/graphite/PTFE composite and the polyoxymethylene plain bearing ensure smooth operation with minimal component wear.

Operating parameters and operating conditions

The device is designed for continuous operation in medium temperatures up to 35°C, with the capability to handle water containing up to 150 grams of sand per cubic meter. Fourteen hydraulic stages (impellers) allow for achieving high pressures while maintaining high hydraulic efficiency. The built-in stainless steel check valve protects the installation against backflow, and the NEMA standard shaft coupling enables easy connection to the motor.

Application and operational safety

The pump finds wide application in supplying domestic water from deep and dug wells to private houses, plots, industrial plants, and farms. It is also effective in crop irrigation systems, municipal and industrial water supplies, fire protection systems, and for pressure boosting in high-rise buildings.

Operational safety is ensured by stainless steel suction strainers protecting against sand ingress, and the simplicity of operation allows for easy installation and maintenance even by persons without specialized experience. The NEMA standard guarantees compatibility with most motors available on the market.
