The hydraulic part of the STAIRS SP-18-25-M4 submersible pump is an advanced device designed for efficient groundwater pumping from deep wells and boreholes. The construction from AISI 304 stainless steel guarantees long-term resistance to corrosion and abrasion.

Top-quality design and materials

Key pump components are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, ensuring exceptional durability and resistance to aggressive environments. The pump housing, discharge and suction nozzles/fittings, cable cover, impeller hubs, and pump shaft are all made from this same high-grade material. The check valve located in the discharge port and the shaft coupling also benefit from the properties of AISI 304 stainless steel.

The shaft bushing is made of a carbon/graphite/PTFE composite, providing optimal friction and wear resistance. The NBR (nitrile rubber) plain bearing further increases the device's service life. The design meets the NEMA standard for mounting, which facilitates installation and servicing.

Operating parameters and performance

The pump achieves a maximum capacity of 75 l/min at a head of up to 160 meters, allowing for efficient pumping from very great depths. The maximum medium temperature is 30°C, and the device can handle sand content up to 50 g/m³, making it suitable for operation in conditions with natural impurities.

The 4 inch diameter in the NEMA standard enables a wide spectrum of industrial and municipal applications. The pump performs excellently in drinking water supply, agricultural irrigation, and livestock farming, as well as in water supply systems for industry and local governments.

Advanced safety technologies

The check valve prevents the medium from flowing back after the unit stops, eliminating the risk of water hammer. Acid-resistant steel suction baskets protect against the ingress of sand and other foreign bodies into the pump interior.

High-quality shaft bearings ensure low friction while maintaining high wear resistance. The thrust washer/ring prevents pump damage during transport and in the event of recoil forces during startup, limiting the axial movements of the pump shaft.
