The hydraulic part of the STAIRS SP-25-12-M4 submersible pump has been developed for applications requiring maximum efficiency while maintaining full reliability. The device is designed for groundwater pumping from deep wells and boreholes.

Top-class design and materials

The foundation of this pump's exceptional durability is its construction made entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel. All key components - the pump housing, discharge and suction nozzles, cable shield, impeller hubs, impeller, and pump shaft - have been manufactured from the same material. This selection eliminates galvanic issues between different metals and guarantees uniform corrosion resistance for the entire assembly.

The manufacturer has utilized composite materials: the shaft sleeve made of a carbon/graphite/PTFE blend ensures minimal friction while maintaining high wear resistance, while the NBR bushing is characterized by abrasion resistance in difficult operating conditions. The check valve located in the discharge nozzle effectively eliminates the risk of water hammer, and the NEMA standard shaft coupling allows for easy connection to the motor.

Operating parameters and performance

The pump achieves a maximum flow rate of 100 l/min at a maximum head of 77 meters. These parameters allow for efficient pumping even from very deep water sources. The device maintains full functionality in medium temperatures up to 30°C, which expands the range of possible applications.

The design is adapted for operation with a standard outer diameter of 4 inches, enabling installation in most standard deep wells. The pump can operate with a medium containing a fairly significant sand content - up to 50 grams per cubic meter, making it suitable even for water sources with increased mineralization.

Applications and operational safety

The SP series has been designed for a wide spectrum of applications - from drinking water supply and agricultural irrigation and livestock watering, to municipal and industrial supply and pressure boosting systems. The design is adapted for operation with clean, non-aggressive liquids without solid particles or fibers.

Operational safety is ensured by a range of technical solutions. Stainless steel suction baskets effectively protect the pump from sand and other foreign materials entering its interior. The retaining ring serves as an additional safeguard during transport and protects against damage during startup by limiting the axial movements of the pump shaft.

The NEMA mounting standard guarantees compatibility with a wide range of electric motors available on the market, simplifying the drive selection process and subsequent operation of the device.
