The LiYY 2x0.75 black control cable is a versatile solution for control, signaling and data transmission systems. It will work in both industrial installations and commercial or residential buildings. The cable is designed for demanding applications where reliability and flexibility are important.

Construction and application

TECHNOTRONIK LiYY cables are characterized by a construction that provides high flexibility while maintaining mechanical strength. They are ideal for use in control, monitoring, computer and measurement technology systems. They can be used to transmit analog and digital signals in industrial electronics and automation installations. This cable is also perfect for powering small receivers – provided that the currents remain within the permissible load limits of the cable.

The application of the LiYY cable covers both fixed installations and movable connections inside buildings. The cable jacket exhibits good resistance to oils, which expands the range of its potential applications.

Constructional features and parameters

The cable is made of flexible, stranded copper conductors (twisted), insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) – the color of the conductor insulation complies with DIN VDE 47100. The twisted conductors are layered in the core, and the whole is surrounded by a jacket made of PVC sheathing (PVC) in black RAL 7001. The nominal conductor cross-section is 0.75 mm², and the number of conductors is 2. The outer diameter of the cable is 4.4 mm.

Additionally, special versions of the LiYY cable are available:

• LiYY-O: designed for operation in places exposed to contact with petroleum-based materials (e.g. gas stations).
• LiY11Y: with increased mechanical resistance to abrasion and tearing, resistant to oil, gasoline, bacteria and UV radiation (polyurethane coating).
• LiHH: halogen-free – providing greater fire safety due to limited emission of smoke and corrosive gases during a fire.
• IB-LiYY: for use in intrinsically safe circuits.
