Fire-resistant power cable – safety and reliability in critical installations

This three-core power cable with a cross-section of 6 mm² is designed for installations requiring the highest level of fire safety. Made of halogen-free materials, it provides not only protection against short circuits and overloads, but also minimizes the risk of toxic gas emissions in the event of a fire. It is ideal for use in public buildings, industrial facilities, and anywhere where uninterrupted power supply is required in emergency situations.

Fire resistance and certificates

The cable meets stringent fire resistance standards – FE180 PH90/E90, which means it maintains functionality for 90 minutes in fire conditions. This ensures the continued operation of critical systems such as fire pumps, smoke extraction ventilation and emergency lighting. It has a Certificate of Conformity and Approval issued by the Fire Protection Research Center – PIB in Józefów, which confirms its high quality and compliance with applicable regulations.

Construction and application

The cable consists of copper wires insulated with special cross-linked silicone rubber. The strands are twisted layer by layer in the core, and the whole is surrounded by a filling layer and an outer layer of halogen-free material (HFFR) with HM4 properties according to PN-HD 604 S1. The orange color of the sheath makes it easier to identify the cable in the installation. Designed for permanent installation indoors and outdoors, as well as for use in humid environments (with additional protection). Thanks to its UV resistance, it can be used outdoors without fear of material degradation. However, it should not be used in rooms protected by fixed water extinguishing systems.
