Fire-resistant power cable – safety and reliability in critical installations
This orange power cable with a cross-section of 10 mm² is designed for installations where the priority is human safety and property protection. Manufactured by TECHNOKABEL S.A., it meets the highest standards of fire resistance, ensuring continuous power supply during emergency situations. Ideal for use in public utility buildings, industrial facilities, and anywhere high fire resistance and minimal emission of toxic gases during a fire are required.
Construction and properties
The NHXH FE180 PH90/E90 cable features an advanced construction that guarantees reliability and long-term operation. Conductors made of soft copper strands (Class RE – single-wire round) provide flexibility and ease of installation. Insulation made of cross-linked halogen-free material ensures high resistance to temperature and chemical agents. Additionally, the cable sheath, made of HFFR (halogen-free) material with HM4 properties (according to PN-HD 604 S1), minimizes smoke and toxic gas emission during fire, which is critical for user safety. The orange sheath color facilitates easy identification in installations.
Applications and benefits
Cables from the TECHNOFLAME NHXH FE180 PH90/E90 series are designed for permanent installation inside and outside buildings. Thanks to UV resistance, they can be used in outdoor conditions without risk of material degradation. The possibility of laying in water and soil (after appropriate protection) expands their application range. A key feature of these cables is their ability to maintain electrical functionality for 90 minutes (PH90/E90), meaning they ensure continuous power supply to critical equipment during a fire – such as water pumps, smoke extraction fans, emergency lighting, and fireman elevators. They hold a Certificate of Conformity and a Certificate of Approval issued by the Scientific and Research Center for Fire Protection - PIB in Józefów, confirming their high quality and compliance with applicable standards.
